The solar project will be located adjacent to the Bungaban Wind project site and will make use of the transmission infrastructure currently being developed by Powerlink. Construction timelines will be coordinated across both projects to help reduce accommodation and workforce pressures.

Bungaban Solar is subject to a separate approvals process to Bungaban Wind. A Development Application has been submitted to Western Downs Regional Council.

Later this year we will also submit our referral to Federal Government under the EPBC Act. This process will determine the approval pathway for the project by the end of the year. We will then work through the EPBC Act approval process, with construction anticipated in 2028.

Continuing our earlier engagement on the project, we will be out in the community again in late May to chat about the project and seek further feedback.
